DOUBLE DIGIT Trout caught at Santa Ana River Lakes
With the weather cooling down each passing week the trout bite continues to get better and S.A.R.L will stock bigger trout. The Suuuper Troout Grand Opener is scheduled for Nov. 22nd, 23rd & 24th. That’s when the water will be cold enough to stock the “Big Boys.” 
Heaviest trout for the week was a 10 pound sierra bow caught by Deon Bynum of Buena Park using rainbow dough bait at Van Buren corner. 
Eladio Astorga of Alhambra caught 3 big trout totaling 18 pounds 2 ounces, his largest 9 pounds 2 ounces using green Power-Bait at La Palma point. Carlos Mosqueda of Dominguez caught 11 trout totaling 20 pounds also using green Power-Bait at the Pump House. Santa Ana River Lakes is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only. Everything BITING at Corona Lake
Corona Lake is well known for their huge rainbow trout stockings every week, but there are other species in that lake that are on the chew. 
Heaviest fish of the week was a 20 pound sturgeon caught by Seng Chour of Lakewood using a Mice Tail in the middle of the lake. 
Lucas Mcclelland of Temecula caught 3 trout totaling 11 pounds, his largest at 6 pounds using night-crawlers at the Dam. Daniel & Joey Arama of Hemet caught a 8 pound catfish using a power worm from shore. Adam & Devin Swaim of Boumont caught 4 trout & 4 catfish totaling 15 pounds 12 ounces, with their largest being a 4 pound Lightning Trout using Power-Bait from a boat. 
Jacob Nguyen of Eastville caught 6 fish, a mixture of tilapia & trout totaling 11 pounds using Power-Worms from a boat.
