DOUBLE DIGIT trout are on the chew at Santa Ana River Lakes
The big boys are here, and they are not being shy about their presence. Anglers have been bringing up huge trout, but there are still plenty in there. Heaviest trout of the week was 14 pounds 8 ounces.
James Anderson of La Puente caught this monster using chartreuse dough bait rolled with Hatchery Dust by the Pump House.
Kory Allen of Anaheim caught 2 big trout totaling 21 pounds, his biggest 12 pounds 2 ounces using rainbow dough bait soaked in Lip RipperZ Love Sauce also by the pump house. Leo Narciso of Yorba Linda caught a 12 pound 8 ounce rainbow trout using a night-crawler by the boat dock. Andrew Vasquez of Santa Fe Springs caught a 10 pound trout using garlic scented chartreuse power-bait rolled in Hatchery Dust in Chris’ Pond. Santa Ana River Lakes is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only. 16 POUND TROUT caught at Corona Lake
Corona Lake is well known for stocking some of the biggest trout in California.
Lacey Hines of Compton caught a monster 16 pound Super Trout using rainbow Power-Bait mixed with garlic Power-Bait fishing near the boat dock. Tom Cychner of Upland caught a 13 pound 8 ounce trout using a orange Power-worm from a boat in the middle of the lake. Felipe Flores of Indio caught a 12 pound rainbow trout using a Strike King lure also from a boat. Reuben Alfaro of Riverside caught his 5 trout fish limit totaling 17 1/2 pounds, with his largest trout weighing at 10 pounds using mouse tails at the Dam. The Turner’s, Lip RipperZ Hatchery Dust Tournament at Corona Lake is scheduled for Nov. 30th.
