20.3 pound SUPER TROUT caught at Santa Ana River Lakes
Santa Ana River Lakes continues to crank out the monster trout. This week’s heaviest trout was a whopping 20.3 pound Super Trout caught by Craig Adkinson of Orange.
Craig landed this toad using cheese colored Power-Bait fishing at “The Road”.
Tramel Kerl. of L.A. caught a 17 pound 8 ounce trout using a night-crawler rolled in Hatchery Dust off shore at La. Palma point. Gio Alterino of Santa Ana caught a 13 pound 8 ounce trout using a mijo jig at Chris’ Pond. William Martinez of Montebello landed 12 trout totaling 25 pounds with his largest fish at 12 pounds using a mice tail at Sandy Beach. Sal Lopez jr. of Santa Ana caught a11 pound trout using Mijo minnow at Chris’ Pond. Santa Ana River Lakes is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only. 18.6 pound SUPER TROUT caught at Corona Lake
Corona Lake is also known as The Big Fish Lakes, and this past week it has earned its alias. Jesse Malta of Parris caught 5 trout totaling 22.14 and his largest trout weighed in at 18.6 pounds. Jesse was using lime green garlic Power-Bait fishing by the rocks. Vin Veria of Placentia caught 12 pound 4 ounce & a 11 pound 12 ounce trout using jigs from shore.
Big trout are not the only thing biting, Richard Vincent of Murrieta caught & released a 28.4 pound sturgeon using a Bomber crank bait fishing from a boat. Julian Tongdee of Redlands caught 2 trout totaling 17.8 pounds his largest trout at 11.8 pounds using Mini Ripperz from a float tube at Sandy Beach.
