20 DOUBLE DIGIT TROUT caught at Santa Ana River Lakes
Anglers checked in 20 trout that weighed in over 10 pounds this past week alone at Santa Ana River Lakes. Heaviest trout of the week was landed again by Brandon Johnston of Yorba Linda, Brandon checked in a 16 pound 8 ounce trout along with 2 more trout for a combined weight of 21 pounds using night-crawlers fishing in Chris’ Pond.
Craig Joachim of Anaheim caught a 14 pound 8 ounce trout using chartreuse Power-Bait fishing at Sandy Beach. Art Duro of Anaheim landed a 14 pound 5 ounce using a Trout King jig in Chris’ Pond. Paul Hansen of Newport Beach caught a 14 pound 3 ounce using Power-Bait in Chris’ Pond. Aaron Garcia of Orange caught 5 trout totaling 26 pounds, his largest trout at 14 pounds using Mijo Minnows fishing by the dock. Allen Kennedy of Tustin caught a 14 pound trout using night-crawlers fishing at the Bubble Hole. Saul Aguiloz of Rialto landed a 17 pound 8 ounce trout using a lure by the Dam. Eric Barron of Corona caught 3 trout totaling 16 pounds, his largest weighing in at 12 pounds 8 ounces using a Kastmaster at the Dam.
Chris Voogt of Mira Loma caught a 12 pound 6 ounce trout using white Power-Bait near the Dam. Joseph Orellana of Eastvale caught 5 trout totaling 20 pounds, his largest trout weighing in at 11 pounds 8 ounces using night-crawlers from shore. Jim Breck of Sun City caught a 5 pound 4 ounce Lightning Trout using night-crawlers from shore at the Dam.
