225 POUND stringer at SARL

Jason Harvery, Ben Maple & Steve Bigda of Camp Pendleton fished the regular day session on Friday then back to back overnight 24 hour sessions on Friday & Saturday Nights from a Pontoon Boat fishing with mackerel and night-crawlers, the 3 anglers ended with 75 catfish (FULL LIMITS) total weight is 225 POUNDS !!3 anglers with 75 catfish totaling 225 at SARL Their largest catfish weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces.  Ryliey Aldeen of La Palma caught 10 catfish totaling 36 pounds using a mackerel at Levitz corner.  Jason Kyle of Fullerton caught 9 catfish totaling 21 pounds using a mealworm & marshmallow combo at the bubble hole .  Samuel Tovanche of Reseda caught 7 catfish totaling 20 pounds, his largest cat 4 pounds 8 ounces, fishing at the bubble hole using night-crawlers.  During the summer there is 24 hour fishing, no extra charge for overnight camping every Friday & Saturday night beginning at 5 pm. Santa Ana River lakes is now stocking twice a week with catfish & tilapia.  The official catfish opener will be June 13-14-15 and monster catfish will be stocked for this event. For more Santa Ana River Lakes fishing information, call 714-632-7830 or log on at www.fishinglakes.com.

Big Cats reported at Corona Lake

 Fred Boyce of L.A. caught a 12 pound 1 ounce catfish & a 11 pound 8 ounce catfish using mackerel from a boat.  Carlos & Emma Arthur caught 18 catfish of Rialto caught 18 catfish totaling 40 pounds using mackerel from shore.  Mike Bradshaw of Corona caught 3 catfish totaling 10 pounds 8 ounces, his largest catfish weighed in at 5 pounds 10 ounces using mackerel from a boat in the sticks. Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and during catfish season. During the summer there is 24 hour fishing, no extra charge for overnight camping every Friday & Saturday night beginning at 5 pm.   Corona Lake is now stocking twice a week with catfish & tilapia.  The official catfish opener will be June 13-14-15 and monster catfish will be stocked for this event. For more Corona Lake fishing information, call 951-277-4489 or log on at www.fishinglakes.com
