NEW SEASON RECORD BROKE AGAIN AT SARL
The HEAVIEST TROUT season record has been BROKEN AGAIN, along with 12 other DOUBLE DIGIT trout checked in for the week at SARL. The NEW heaviest trout caught of of any lake in socal so far this season was caught at Santa Ana River Lakes. 
Mario Hernandez of Ontario caught a massive 21 pound 8 ounce rainbow trout using rainbow PowerBait fishing at the pump house. Mario was kind enough to donate the fish back to us so we will be displaying it at the big Fred Hall Show this year. Phil Hilderbrant of Anaheim came close, he checked in a whopping 19 pound 8 ounce trout caught at the boat dock using a Mijo minnow. A fellow angler filmed the epic catch and posted it on Facebook. Carlos Pareno of W. Covina caught a 15 pound 3 ounce trout using a night-crawler at the Bubble Hole. Trac Nuygen of Huntington Beach caught a 14 pound 3 ounce trout using a worm fishing in the Big Lake. During trout season Santa Ana River Lakes will be closed every Thursday for Day & Night fishing for trout stockings.
