61 POUND CATFISH CAUGHT AT SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES
Javonte Taylor of Pomona caught a monster 61 pound 9 ounce catfish using shrimp from shore on the back side of the Catfish Lake. The epic fight ended with Jovonte actually breaking his pole but he still managed to land this huge cat.
Troy Colcasure of Azusa caught a 5 pound catfish from his private boat using shrimp in the Big Lake. Jason Cho of Anaheim Hills caught 2 catfish totaling 10 pounds fishing shrimp at the Boat Dock.

Santa Ana River Lakes is currently stocking catfish every Friday, Tilapia every other Friday and is open 7 days a week for both day & night fishing. 24 hour camping/overnight fishing is scheduled for every Friday & Saturday night, 5pm to 4pm the next day during the summer.
