22 POUND CATFISH CAUGHT & RELEASED AT SARL
Frank Mancra of L.A. caught and released a 22 pound 8 ounce catfish using mackerel, float tubing in the middle of the Big Lake fishing with mackerel.
Frank’s prize catch was released safely back into our trophy catch and release only Catfish Lake. Santiago Palacios of W. Covina fished most of the weekend including overnight and ended up with 21 fish, mostly tilapia but a few catfish totaling 50 pounds.
Santiago largest tilapia was 3 pounds and he was using night-crawlers from shore at the Bubble Hole. Rick Kizzee of Los Angeles caught 3 big catfish totaling 22 pounds, his largest ca weighed in at 8 pounds. Rick was float tubing 100 yards from the Boat Dock fishing with mackerel.
