Corona 5/7 report
phishin phoolI couldn't make up my mind, head up to the mountains and tube Jenks, BBL, or Gregory or hit the last tailwaker stocking at my local favorite phishin hole......... Corona. Well decided to stay local and it paid off..........big time!!!! Arrived at the lake about 5:20 to about 20 cars in line...........WOW
. I was on the water by 6:00. After seeing Sapdawgs great post last night I thought I would work the Launch to Dam area. I found a sweet little honey hole
just north of the courtesy dock and really lucked out. Overall fishin for everyone was pretty good but I found the spot!!! I was pretty stoked cuz I'm usually just out of casting range of these sweet spots when the fishin isnt goin off. I used the tailwaker special, orange body/white egg mice tail with some "bite on-garlic" and orange worm/chartreuse power egg combow with bite on for a limit that weighed 15 lbs. biggest was 4.5. I also released about 6-7 lip hooked fish. It was kinda wierd, they were hittin the pole I usually drift or just let sit, I got very little love on the jig. Didn't get any pics of the limit, only pic i got was the big one about to go under the knife in my kitchen. I cant say this enough but I wanna thank Corona Lake for such an unbelievable trout season.
Never in my 35+ years of fishin have I seen such beautiful fish stocked anywhere, these fish were unsurpassed in beauty, taste, quality, and fight!!!! Well worth the $27 it costs to fish there. imho. Tight lines to all.

Hello, my name is Lino Jubilado, an avid Corona Lake fisherman in the winter for trout, and Santa Ana River Lakes Fisherman for Catfish in the Summer. This past week/weekend (Thursday February 17th-Saturday the 19th) I had one of the greatest fishing experiences of my life. Despite the sometimes horrible weather conditions, we loved the camping and managed to catch loads of both rainbows and lightenings. I also caught the largest trout of my life (12 pound lunker) and my first lightening trout (please see attached photos).
