HUGE TROUT & CATFISH being caught at SARL
Anglers checked in over 15 double digit trout this last week at Santa Ana River Lakes. Brandon Johnston of Yorba Linda landed a 16 pound 8 ounce trout with 4 more trout totaling his limit at 28 pounds 3 ounces. Brandon used Lip RipperZ Love Sauce and a mouse tail fishing at the Pump House. Phil Hilderbrant of Anaheim caught 5 trout totaling 25 pounds 10 ounces with his largest trout weighing 13 pound 8 ounces using Mijo Minnows fishing in Chris’ Pond.
Bob Chivas of Corona checked in a 13 pound 4 ounce using chartreuse PowerBait in Chris’ Pond. Armando Buttavius of Anaheim caught 4 catfish totaling 15 pounds his largest was 8 pounds 14 ounces using shrimp in the Big Lake. Arturo Hernandez of South Gate caught 5 catfish totaling 15 pounds 8 ounces whit his largest cat at 7 pounds 8 ounces using shrimp in the Catfish Lake. Santa Ana River Lakes is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only.
