HOT CATFISH ACTION AT SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES
Angel Shank of Fullerton caught 9 catfish totaling 21 pounds, largest catfish at 4 pounds 8 ounces using both mackerel & night-crawlers in the Catfish Lake. David Zviderveld of Fountain Valley caught 2 big catfish totaling 11 pounds 8 ounces, his heaviest catfish at 7 pounds 8 ounces using mackerel in the Catfish Lake.
Shirley Bhurl & Gary Weir of Cypress caught 10 catfish totaling 20 pounds using mackerel also in the Catfish Lake. Tom Royce of Anaheim caught 5 catfish totaling 14 pound 8 ounces using shrimp at the boat dock in the Big Lake. The third qualifying tournament for the 2014 Slay Fest Championship will be 5pm Sat. July 26th at S.A.R.L. Santa Ana River Lakes is open seven days & nights a week during catfish season. During the summer there is 24 hour fishing, no extra charge for overnight camping every Friday & Saturday night beginning at 5 pm. 25 POUND BLUE CATFISH CAUGHT AT CORONA LAKE
Rodrigo Sanguino of Riverside caught and released 25 pound blue catfish using shrimp at the Dam.
David Han of Alhambra caught & released a 19 pound sturgeon using shrimp at the boat launch ramp.
Ben Roberts of Corona caught 10 catfish totaling 27 pounds using mackerel scented with Eagle Claw gravy fishing the overnight session from a boat. Mike Lewis of Riverside caught 5 catfish totaling 16 pounds 8 ounces using night-crawlers soaked in Lip RipperZ Love Sauce fishing from his float tube at the dam. Corona Lake is open seven days & nights a week during catfish season.
