Santa Ana River Lakes . Corona Lake . Anaheim Lake
Tournament/Contest/Lake Rules Update: 4/15/12
1) Failure to abide by Tournament and Lake Rules will result in immediate disqualification from
the Tournament or Contest. Disqualified contestants will be ineligible for any prizes and/or
points awarded during that event(s). Disqualified contestant(s) may be asked to immediately
leave the Lake and NO refunds will be made for either the Lake and or the Tournament Entry
Fees. Disqualification may also justify and institute a ban on future tournaments and or Lake
Admissions for that individual(s).
2) If you witness anyone not following any of the Official Tournament or Lake Rules, please
IMMEDIATELY report the suspected violators to Tournament or Lake Officials. As it is
impossible for the Officials to oversee everything at all times, your diligence in making sure that
the rules are adhered to can ensure that these contests/tournaments remain fair and honest
which GREATLY benefits you as well as all of your fellow anglers.
3) Lake or Tournament Officials will immediately investigate any reported rules infraction and
make a decision of eligibility or disqualification following a thorough review of the facts and the
available witnesses surrounding the incident. A decision will be made at the sole and exclusive
discretion of the Officials, and that decision will be final.
4) Lake or Tournament Officials may at any time require as a condition of winning or receiving an
award, a signed statement from the participant attesting to the details and validity of the catch,
along with witness statements, if available.
The following acts are NOT permitted at any time.
Catching fish over Limit (your permission to fish ends when you catch a limit) ] Culling fish for a larger
individual limit ] Catch and release (other than fish that are required to be released) . Giving away
fish to avoid a limit and continue fishing ] Sight]fishing or line]running, with the intent of snagging
fish ] Netting fish that have not been legitimately caught by a hook in the mouth of the fish ] Fishing
with more than two (2) poles at any one time . Team fishing, and entering a fish into any
competition that was not personally caught by the individual entering that contest.
IF YOU WITNESS ANY OF THE ABOVE, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE
TOURNAMENT OR LAKE OFFICIALS. DO NOT WAIT TO REPORT SUSPECTED
VIOLATIONS. REWARDS MAY BE GIVEN TO THOSE REPORTING VIOLATIONS
DEPENDING UPON THE CIRCUMSTANCES. THANK YOU!!
