HUGE cats & HUGE limits being caught at SARL

Heavy limits and big catfish have been on the chew at Santa Ana River Lakes.  Anglers deciding to fish the night & overnight sessions have had the best success. Heaviest catfish of the week was caught by Pedro Villa of Anaheim.  Pedro Villa - 17 pound cat at SARLPedro landed a huge 17 1/2 pound cat using a mealworm & marshmallow combo in the catfish lake. Heaviest stringer of the week was landed by the Magana family of La Habra.  Trino Magana and his sons landed 21 catfish totaling 46 pounds using a mealworm/marshmallow combination in the Big Lake at Sandy Beach.  Scott Chance of Fullerton caught a huge 17 pound catfish using shrimp from a boat. Corona Lake is a HOT SPOT for catfish & tilapia

Corona Lake contiunes to crank out big limits of catfish & tilapia.  Fishermen deciding to target catfish, seem to be more productive in the evening sessions. Julian & Daniel - Corona LakeJulian & Daniel of Highland park caught 10 catfish totaling 26 1/2 pounds using shrimp & mackerel at the Dam.
