TROUT ACTION AT SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES

The trout pre-season starts out with a bang at Santa Ana River Lakes.  Hot baits were jigs and lures from shore. Anglers that fished from a boat or a float tube did extremely well at the Bubble Hole.Glenn Matsushita of Gardena caught 5 trout totaling 25 pounds - largest weighed in at 6 pounds using a Rapala at the Bubble Hole  Glenn Matsushita of Gardena caught 5 trout totaling 25 pounds, largest weighed in at 6 pounds using a Rapala in a boat at the Bubble Hole.Wes Wright of Santa Ana fished the mid-day session and got his 7 fish limit - a mixture of both Sierra Bow & Lighting Trout totaling 19 pounds using Sierra Slammers from a float tube all around the Big Lake  Wes Wright of Santa Ana fished the mid-day session and got his 7 fish limit, a mixture of both Sierra Bow &  Lighting Trout totaling 19 pounds using Sierra Slammers from a float tube all around the Big Lake.  Garret Patterson & Eric Wilkerson of Orange County caught 8 trout totaling 18 pounds 8 ounces using both garlic chartreuse PowerBait & jigs fishing at the Bubble Hole  Santa Ana River Lakes will another pre-stocking of trout Thurs. Nov. 20th gearing up for the big trout opener on Fri.
